Happy 1st Birthday Ryan!

We had a small celebration this past sunday (dec 28) for Ryan's first birthday. I just made him a small carrot cake, that he really didnt even eat. And he opened a few gifts. I still cant believe how fast this year has flown by. I remember last year at this time having this small infant who was so helpless and just laid there and now we have a very active and happy toddler. I love watching him grow and learn so many different things each day. I love being around him and teaching him everything. He's such a momma's boy but yet loves spending time with his daddy.

Ryan loves TRUCKS, cars, animals, blocks, balls, phones, (mostly my cell phone) playing outside in his wagon, playing in the water, and being with his family.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY RYAN
WE LOVE YOU!!

Ryan's 1st Birthday Party!

Look who had his first Birthday Party! That's right, Ryan had his 1st Birthday Party this past weekend (Dec. 6th). The theme of his Birthday was "Disneyland". Since we couldnt have all our family and friends at Disneyland, we decided to bring Disneyland to us. We had one of the rooms made up as the Disney Cars. Outside in the backyard we had one section as Finding Nemo and the other section as Hundred Acre Woods (Winnie-the Pooh) and of course, Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofey were all there too! Most of our family and friends were there to help Ryan celebrate his special day. Thanks to all that came and helped out. Here are some pictures.

Thanksgiving Day

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We had Thanksgiving dinner down at my parents house. This year however, my extended family was also with us. We had a feast of delicious foods and desserts, we watched movies and just enjoyed everyone's company. This was Ryan's first Thanksgiving and he enjoyed trying new foods as well. Im so very Grateful for my family, my husband and my son and for good friends. Im Grateful for life and the peace and joy I have in it. Im Grateful for the gospel and for my testimony. And Im most Grateful for the Lord for giving me all of these things and more. our family

Yes on Prop. 8

This past Saturday Nov. 1st Kevin, Ryan and I attended the protest on Yes on prop. 8 in La Verne. There were many LDS members there that I recognized and some friends from our ward. There were roughly 500 people that attended that day. There were also people from other faiths and organizations too. It was great to be apart of such an important moral issue.

Happy Halloween!

So this year was Ryan's first Halloween and we started it off the week before Halloween day when we went to our ward Halloween Party. The pictures of him in his lion outfit are from that night.

*Ryan and his buddy Kade are both cute lions*

We had so much fun taking Ryan through the Claremont village to Trick-or-Treat and then through the neighborhoods later that night. Of course he never ate the candy but it was fun anyways. Happy First Halloween Ryan!!

Pumpkin Patch

Every year for the past four years, we go to the Pumpkin Patch at Kevin's school. We went last Saturday with our son, for his first year, my niece and nephew and my mom. This year seemed to be more crowded than the previous years, at least to me. Well, we took lots of pictures of Ryan and him with his cousins, and we picked out three perfect pumpkins--Well actually we just picked out three pumpkins that weren't smashed or rotted and that looked semi-decent so that we could get out of there faster! Overall, it was fun to be able to take Ryan for his first time to a Pumpkin Patch. Here are just a few pictures from that day.
